I just witnessed something that made me ponder a little. An incidence occurred in which my friend's phone fell on the floor and his screen broke. What's the big deal? you might ask! I'm not writing this for you to pity him and probably send him money to fix the screen but i'm writing this to open you into the mystery behind decisions. Before the incidence, we were to leave for another browsing location but didn't because the slow network became fast again, then we wanted to leave for a place more comfortable in the same location...thats when the phone's screen broke. It was easy blaming the person that suggested that we shouldn't go to the other browsing location but the incidence has happened already and there is no going back.
Lets forget about that particular incidence and understand that we are who we are today because of the little decisions we make even as little as the route to go through to a destination. This is a parallel universe...what do i mean? Well, something else would have happened if we had chosen to leave for the other browsing location, it might have been worse or it might have been better but we can never know. People die everyday because of the decisions they make, for example, someone chooses to enter a motorcycle instead of a bus and ends up under a truck when if he had chosen to enter the bus, he might just be safe. Decisions as little as even how long you spend saying hi to your friend you meet on the road, the particular bus you choose to enter, the friend you met on the road (dependent on the route), the call you receive at a particular time and so on are capable of changing everything.
Did you notice how most, if not all, of the above mentioned instances are time dependent? Well, this is because the result of our decisions or choices are largely time dependent. We cannot determine or even assume the result of any decision we make but the only thing we have to do is ask God to direct our decisions just to ensure any decision made will lead to a future occurrence better for us. I leave you today with the mindset that your life won't be the way it is today if not for the decisions you have made earlier in life. Do a quick assessment now to discover if you are enjoying your life now, if you are living a happy life, if you currently comfortable with your situation right now. After this, you can now tend to make better decisions concerning the friends you roll with, the places you go to and the likes. At least, there are some decisions in which the results can be controlled.
What decisions have you made today and how have they altered your life in any way. What to do? I hope you know what to do when you are in a confused state, if you are finding it difficult to make a choice based on a calculated results then you should just choose one. If the result is great, good for you, If it isn't, make yourself understand that it might have been worse. Anyways, learn to live your life without regrets. God help us all.
