We wake up
every morning in a haste, most times we forget to say our morning devotion (I
know I do sometimes). We forget to think about how we spent the last day to
discover if there are things that calls for attention in our lives. I read a
post that says we live our lives like robots, living like we have a routine. I
have being doing something since the past month, I spend the last 20 minutes
before I sleep writing down what I did throughout the day. What this helps do
is to help me recall almost all the activities of the day, it will be easy then
to know what I have done wrong, done right and what needs my attention. You
should try it.
More than just keeping a track of how
your day was spent you need to actually live it. You need to live your life
knowing that in a day you impacted a person, you helped someone and you spent
your day living your life not another person’s life. What makes us feel
accomplished for the day? Have you stopped at one time and asked yourself, “What for?” Why are you currently doing
that which you are doing? For what purpose? For what satisfaction? Asking
yourself these questions helps a lot of people realise that they are not living
their own lives.
You ask some people, why they are
studying a course and the first thing is a pause followed by it is a
professional course or it is what my father/mother wanted me to do or it is “a
make sense” course. Why not do what you
love? And be happy doing it. You
can’t fake happiness to yourself. You live life everyday faking happiness,
faking the smile in your face when your life continues to count and one day we
will live this earth and the only thing will remain is the smile we put on
people’s faces, the solutions we provided, the heart we made merry and our
afterlife destination. What will you have accomplished?
Life’s accomplishment is not living a
satisfactory life or having so much money you can’t spend or having so much
assets to be inherited. Why not take one
step at a time? Doing the things you love every day. I used to live my life
for the wrong purposes, saying I have to get a first class in my undergraduate
study or I have to be as rich as Bill Gates but then I asked myself; what for?
And I discovered the purpose was canal and vain. Now, I have dedicated my life
to helping people, impacting lives, giving to the world, being a solution to
the problems encountered in the world and living my life for God.
But chill! I did not say I quit school
or I will quit school, neither did I say I don’t want to make money but now I have
a greater purpose in life. I will use the knowledge I get in helping the world
and impacting lives, I will ensure I bless lives with the money I get. Thrive
to be a blessing to people, thrive to be a blessing to the world and this
cannot be achieved only by having surplus money, but by having a good heart
(Next topic). A lot of people in the world today are living an unhappy lives
because they have not achieved what they have planned to, instead of them to
make a meaning out of their current situation and still impact lives and live a
better life. They forget the part of the scripture that says; “Giving thanks
always for all things unto God…” in Ephesians 5 vs 20. There is a reason why
you are experiencing what you are going through. Find it!
